You might be surprised at how much the sound of your guitar is affected by the coupling of neck and body. My stainless neck plate kits improve the mechanical and acoustic coupling to give enhanced tone, clarity and sustain. My neck kits allow you to apply much more torque to the fixing screws than would ever be possible or advisable with standard fittings.
Ease of maintenance
Every time the neck of a guitar is removed, some wear occurs to the threads. This is especially true for vintage style instruments with the truss rod adjustment at the heel where the neck must be removed and refitted every time an adjustment is made. Over time the threads holding the neck get too loose to hold properly.
My neck kits allow the owner to remove and refit the neck any number of times
without affecting the quality of the connection.
What's included?
The kit consists of a heavy duty 2.5mm thick stainless steel neck plate, four stainless steel machine screws (with Phillips or slotted heads) and four carbon steel inserts. The thick rigid plate resists flexing, unlike standard mild steel plates which bend under screw pressure. The neck plates are CNC plasma cut to fine tolerances and hand finished here in Manchester. The countersinks precisely fit the M4 machine screws. The screw heads are raised countersunk so that the external appearance of the guitar is unchanged.
